This summer Jeff and I decided to take an old fashioned “road trip.” We drove from Atlanta to Dallas, Texas (in one day) and are visiting with my sister for a few days before heading to our next destination. We crossed the Mississippi River on our way and marveled at the impact this one river has had on our country. While in Dallas we visited the George W. Bush Presidential Library on the campus of Southern Methodist University. The library and museum are beautiful and full of wonderful items and memories from the Bush presidency. There is a moving 911 exhibit including a steel girder from the Twin Towers. If you’re ever in Dallas it is a “must see.”
